Tammi Kidd Hutton was born and raised on her family’s farm in rural Kentucky. She was influenced at a very early age by several of her family members who played bluegrass music, and her mothers Motown and classic country album collection. With her mother’s blessing, she left college early and followed her heart to Nashville. She began singing publishing demos within the first week of her arrival and signed a publishing deal shortly thereafter.

Tammi’s songs have been covered by a wide range of artists, including Leann Rimes (probably wouldn’t be this way), Rascal Flatts, Scotty McCreery, Joe Nichols, Kellie Pickler, Jana Kramer and Don Williams, and have been featured in film and television. Her songs have won both country and pop BMI performance awards.
