WHO I AM:
I grew up in Sylva, NC, spent half of my life there and the other half in Knoxville, Nashville and on the road. I have an unreal family, I do what I love for a living and do it the way my gut tells me to. I grew up playing every kind of ball imaginable, played college baseball at Western Carolina University, did pretty well, but ultimately music chose me. A song called “Shine” allowed me to start touring nationally, and I haven’t stopped. I’ve gotten to know and love an enormous amount of friends across our great country, as I’ve played every show I could play, everywhere I could play them. I wrote a song with my best friend about my dad after he passed away (12/13/14), and I truly believe that “Hey Dad” is a major reason I’m on this earth. It allows me to talk about my dad every day, hear other people tell me about their dads, and makes me want to be the best dad I can be. I live in Tennessee with beautiful wife Lindsey, and two beautiful girls, Carolina and Ruby.

Matt’s debut single “Shine” debuted at #25 on iTunes Country Chart, reached the TOP #50 on Billboard’s Country Charts. The first single “Ignition” from his album “Right On Time” reached TOP #50 on the Billboard Hot Country Chart.
Stillwell’s most current release, “Hey Dad”, written as a tribute to his late father, has over 1,000,000 streams and over 30,000,000 collective views of the video. He recorded a new stripped down version of the song and released it to radio this year. “Hey Dad (2021)” just reached #37 on the Billboard Indicator Chart.
In 2019, Matt stripped everything down to just him and his guitar, and set out on his Hometown House Party Tour. This began as the marketing around his song, “Everybody’s Got A Hometown”, but when Covid19 shut the world down, it became his new way of touring. He had a trailer built that serves as his stage and merchandise booth, and by the end of 2021, he will have played 200 shows since he began the Hometown House Party Tour.
Matt has worked with major brands like Budweiser, Ole Smoky Moonshine, Flinkin, Morton Buildings, and Hunt Brothers Pizza. He has been featured on CBS This Morning, Fox & Friends, and Diners, Drivins, and Dives. Matt is the ambassador for the Cal Ripken Sr Foundation’s “Badges For Baseball” program which places at risk youth with law enforcement. To date they have partnered with 14 MLB teams to host Badges For Baseball Clinics that Stillwell helps run. He incorporates his music by singing the National Anthem at the games and clinics. He plans to bring that program to College Baseball by integrating his Hometown House Party Tour with teams he’s connected to this fall.
